Connect with God in Christ-centered worship:
Calvary Assembly helps people get connected! By connecting with God in Christ-centered worship, people become alive and find the ultimate purpose for life. By connecting with fellow worshipers as friends and ministry-partners, people find wholeness in a loving community.
Everyone at Calvary Assembly has regular opportunities to connect with God in our Sunday worship services and our Wednesday gatherings. When anyone exalts God in worship, his or her life takes on its intended shape. For most people, participating in corporate worship is the initial connection to our community and what begins in worship can then be extended to the rest of life.
Connect with others in Christ-centered fellowship:
LIFE Groups provide the best opportunity to develop friendships, foster fellowship, and inspire spiritual growth. These are smaller groups that meet regularly at various times for the purpose of experiencing Love, Instruction, Fellowship, and Encouragement just as first century Christians did (see Acts 2:42-47). Men’s and Women’s ministries as well as ministries to children and teens host regular events designed to deepen relationships and spur growth in the Lord. Occasional retreats allow you to enjoy deeper connections and experience spiritual renewal in a relaxed setting.
Grow in Biblical faith toward spiritual maturity:
A relationship with God through Christ is an expanding thing, not a static state. We want to help people grow! For that reason, we urge everyone to enter one of the growth environments available at Calvary where anyone can discover growth concepts and build healthy, growth-producing relationships with God’s people. Sunday worship services present Bible-based, faith-building messages. In addition, weekly Wednesday night Bible studies and variously scheduled LIFE groups delve into the Bible. We also offer children’s and teen bible learning opportunities, and periodic seminars designed to deepen our understanding of God’s Word.
Serve God’s people as God has gifted you to serve:
We want everyone to experience the satisfaction that comes from knowing your God-given gifts and finding your place in the purpose of God. We offer two seminars to guide you toward this discovery. Discovering Your Ministry helps people discover their primary giftings and find suitable opportunities to serve. Also, we occasionally host the Ministry Action Plan Seminar that provides a comprehensive overview of your personality, abilities, and essential passions while also guiding you to create a personalized ministry action plan to align you with God’s purpose for your life.
Serve our world in Jesus’ name:
God gifts us to serve our broken world through deeds of compassion, prayer for others, and concern for social justice. Calvary Assembly encourages its members to contribute personally to the welfare of their own communities and periodically sponsors a community service outreach called “Faith in Action” that provides physical assistance with household chores to people in need.
Share your blessings for God’s glory:
Sharing the blessings we receive from God returns benefits that far outweigh their cost! Sharing our treasures adds to their value! With this in mind we aim to help people glorify God by sharing their spiritual treasure and material blessings.
Spiritual treasure: Followers of Christ are like the man who found treasure hidden in a field (Matthew 13:44). In his joy he sold everything he had and went and bought that field. Christians have found the amazing treasure of the Kingdom of God and in their joy want to share it. We inspire and equip people to share the good news about Jesus Christ by regularly encouraging this and by offering Becoming a Contagious Christian at least once each year. In this seminar participants learn ways to share the gospel that fit their personality and setting.
Material blessings: God’s favor also flows to those who share their material blessings by giving to advance God’s work on earth. We inspire and equip people to share their earthly treasures for God’s glory by providing periodic Financial Fitness seminars, occasional teaching about Biblical principles of finance, and strategic opportunities to give to God.
